Your new website is now live
In my fifth and final article about what we do at Base Creative will concentrate on the Go Live of your new website. Also in this feature: 'The importance of being tested' & 'What did you think about Base Creative'....
Before we launch your brand new site, we make sure it works. A major part in our process is testing. Once the developers and designers have done the hard work to make your site look good and have fantastic functionality, we start internal testing. This means putting your website through rigorous scrutiny. We check that all links are working, any custom development work / functionality is up to scratch, there are no broken images or spelling mistakes and that each and every pixel is in its place. All this is not just done in one browser, we make sure we test everything against the most commonly used browsers like Internet Explorer (versions 6,7 and 8), Firefox and Safari. We don't test your site once or twice. Your site will be tested by at least 3 team members in three testing stages.
Once we are happy with it we hand the site to you, so you can do some testing of your own. And then it is time...your website is ready for launch.
Putting your website live is a quick and painless process and scheduled at a time we've agreed. While we prefer to crack open the champagne, usually it will take an email from us to let you know that "Your New Site Is Now Live".
However, it does not stop there for Base Creative. As we strive to be a 5 Star Website Design and Development Agency we need your feedback to improve our service. You will receive a feedback form from us which will ask you to give your general opinion on how the project was. We will then also organise a feedback meeting with you, where you will be able to discuss it all - good and bad - with your account manager. (Interested in our views of Feedback? Read Iain's article "Your're my No 1")
Oh...by the way...your site launch does not mean the end of our work. We can help you with SEO, email marketing and so much more.
