One Way to Start Video Blogging
Whatever you do, there's a video blogging opportunty. Ok - it's not everyone's cup of tea. But the point here, is that video blogging (vlogging) can be a great way to engage with clients, both existing and potential.
You've got to start somewhere!
I wouldn't recommend overproduction with vlogs. Our video production company, Flathead did a great job, but we agreed after initial editing that future vlogs would be 'less produced'. It's important that vlogs are natural, unscripted (but prepared) and overall, real. Any added production could make it appear promotional, and we were keen to avoid that in all our vlogs. While we agreed with Flathead that our first vlog could be too 'promotional' looking, it gave us a good point from which to start.
The point here is you've got your start vlogging.
Overcome the fears now, get passed the 'common mistakes' first time vloggers make, and get something up there. Most of all, have fun - and make sure it looks like you've having fun too!

Next in this series is 'Tips on how to vlog'.
Definately prep, but really needs to be natural and improvised. You can always reshoot it - I have plenty of bloopers when filming my first vlog, so don't worry about that.

Thanks Iain - I think vlogging will be one of my next steps (that and polls integrated in my blog). Should we read from cue cards, or rehearse using a script?
